Mostly, the same thing everyone else seems to like: Smashing Pumpkins, Belle and Sebastian, Radiohead, Tori Amos, Traci Chapman, Nirvana, Bush, AFI, Magnetic Fields, The Smiths and so many others from the eighties...sometimes I get into a Phish/ Grateful Dead/ Bob Dylan/ Tom Petty mood...on a completely different track, Dvorak and Mendelssohn have really pretty music.

Bridget Jones, Pride and Prejudice (BBC version), The Little Mermaid, Sleeping Beauty, almost all cheesy romantic comedies, and then the crazy artsy movies that can take you to a different place

Lots and lots, it's great for bonding with roommates

Pride and Prejudice (I've read the whole thing countless times), anything you'd find in an American Lit class, anything involving forests or oceans, The Bluest Eye, short stories by Joyce Carol Oates, trashy best-sellers about NY's super rich, children stories, picture books -especially the ones that have buttons that play music
